‘The Phorager’ is an ongoing and evolving project which aims to reattune people to the nature that grows around them, especially in urban environments, namely weeds. Weeds are important members of our ecological communities (providing pollution control, natural medicine, food, shelter for other life etc) and yet they are, at best, overlooked and often destroyed. The Phoragers and I are trying to change this balance and get people to befriend weeds, thereby becoming more aware of the other life we share our world with.
